Extraoral Suction
In the process of dental treatment, high volumes of droplets and aerosols can be produced. Our office utilizes the IQAir extraoral suction system during dental restorative procedures. This system is designed to remove aerosols, abrasion powder, and mercury vapors during dental procedures. The flexible suction duct is placed near the patient's face to directly capture aerosols and vapors before they become airborne.

Air Filtration
Our office utilizes IQAir dental air purifiers that filter even the smallest and most harmful of airborne particles, including aerosols from high-speed dental procedures and tiny ultrafine particles such as viruses. IQAir's HyperHEPA filtration is tested and certified by an independent third-party lab to effectively filter 99.5% of harmful ultrafine particles down to 0.003 microns in size - the smallest particles that exist. IQAir filtration technology is achieved using only safe, proven, mechanical filtration technology, without generating dangerous ions, ozone, or UV.

Intraoral Suction
Our office utilizes the Isolite Mouthpiece system as an intraoral suction device to reduce aerosols. The single-use device protects the airway, tongue, and cheek. The protective mouthpiece continuously removes saliva and acts as a soft cushion for patients to rest their teeth on during dental procedures.
